Ingredients:
1. 1.5 cups poha
2. 1 large potato, boiled, peeled and mashed
3. 1 small carrot, grated
4. 1 small capsicum, finely chopped
5. 1 small onion, finely chopped
6. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
7. 2 green chillies, chopped
8. 2 tbsp besan
9. Salt to taste
10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
11. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
12. 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
13. Cooking oil for frying
Method:
1. Take one and a half cups of poha and rinse it twice.
2 . Then soak poha in a little water for 2 minutes.
3. Then, using a strainer, drain all the water from the poha.
4. The poha should be well-softened but there should be no water in it.
5. Now take a bowl, add mashed potatoes, chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped capsicum, chopped green chilli, chopped coriander, poha, besan,salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder, and garam masala powder.
6. Mix them all well, check the taste, and add more salt or spices if required.
7. Shape into small cutlets or tikkis.
8. Heat a tawa or non-stick pan. Add 3 tbsp oil and let the oil become hot.
9. Place the cutlets on it. When one side is lightly golden and crispy, turn them over using a spatula.
10. Turn them again and again until the second side is lightly golden and crispy.
11. Serve poha veg fried cutlets on a paper napkin.
12. Serve the cutlets with coriander chutney or tomato sauce.
